For some reason, every computer I've had always had overheating issues. My PC that I've had for just over a year is starting to overheat on big games, i.e. Escape from Tarkov and Siege even if I put them on lowest settings. I clean my PC out from dust regularly and use compressed air, so I don't think the dust is the problem nor do I think it's dust in my heat sink. Any ideas?

Not overclocked and it is pretty hot and always has been, just never had the problem when I first got the PC.

I'll look into it, however I remember watching a video where the thermal paste can last for years and not make a huge difference.

What makes you think it's overheating?
What are the specs?
What's the cooling solution? (Air, water?) (what type of cooler)
What's the ambient temperature in your room?
Is it overclocked?

Temperatures can get to around 80-90 oc. GTX 1080, Intel i7-7700, not sure about PSU, etc. Air. Not sure but quite hot. No.

Is it a branded pc? If so, can you give the brand and model number? Maybe it's using an Intel Stock cooler, I've seen that happen quite often.

If it isn't applied too well this could very well be the issue. It could be your fan configuration as well. There are some good videos giving information on air flow and how to have your fan configuration properly setup.

Let me rephrase what I said. PC Specialist custom built it, I didn't the parts and I honestly have no idea what cooler or how to check.

Either poor airflow in your case, if not upgrade your CPU cooler because it doesn't seem powerful enough

If you purchased the PC and it wasn't a gift or something then you should have had a receipt emailed or sent in the box, Overclockers UK and Scan do both, and they include a list of specs for the system. These are usually pretty detailed, so could be worth trying to find it.

How old is the PC, and did these problems start quite suddenly?
