Description of the idea:
Either:
Using city funds to be able to pay for your equipment as an officer.
Or:
The mayor can add a police budget that would be used by the officers to buy their equipment
Why should this be added? (pros):
- Solves an issue that people have with weapons/equipment being free for officers without making players spend their own money to buy it.
- People would have to actually be careful about how much they spend and wouldn't run straight into shootouts because they might not be able to buy a new gun if the city funds are too low
- Gives the mayor more things to do and the city funds are actually used for something other than salary
What negatives could this have? (cons): Officers could be left without equipment but that could easily be solved by a good mayor and officers not buying useless stuff/spending their budget wisely (Buying rifles/heavy armor only when there's a big raid/bank robbery)
