These are the larger changes as they have been discussed with the senior staff team and the development team. As for now none of these changes are set to happen within the next two months as major work has to be done to plpd.online before any changes can be made to the PD. Until then all idea, suggestions, criticisms and questions are welcome as long as they are constructive of course.

  • Promotion meeting with the command teams of all Secondary divisions
    • Based on observations reports

  • Secondary division, you gear up as RTU just like you gear up as TFU
    • Only has 30 armour instead of 50 (maybe)
    • Wears a high vis jacket
    • Loses access to all primary firearms
    • Gains access to all RTU vehicles but loses access to all patrol vehicles
    • Gets access to speed camera
    • Additional changes up for discussion
Tactical Firearms
  • Heavy (bit like SWAT)
    • Anyone can apply
    • Automated in-game applications
    • Ability to blacklist (Prevent people from re-applying if they are banned from Heavy TFU)
    • May not patrol
    • Separate player slots (Training Update)
    • possibly access to range rover or two swat vans instead
    • Preferably new van (not a high priority)
    • Trainer role (Training Update)
      • Has one reserved slot
      • Can do in-game training and leads all TFU
      • Can demote TFU
      • Give access to training grenades
        • Ability to hand out to other TFU
  • Light
    • Light gear would act more like a heavy weapons whitelist
    • Arsenal would be the same
    • Get access to more vehicles
    • (Might have to lose flash or c2)
Dispatch
  • Keep automated as it is now
  • Add blacklist ability
  • Maybe allow people to do training if they show interest

    • Drive the SWAT Van
    • “Kill house”
  • Applications that can be reused as a training session
  • Weapon Applications
    • Taser
Professional Standards
  • Complaint committee
    • Punishments
      • Written Warning
      • Reprimand
      • Remark
        • Only visible to PSD does not impact promotions
      • Demotion / Dismissal
      • Corrective action
      • No action

    • Engage with community
      • Board on the forums

    • Done by an individual that is not part of IA or CC (maybe)

  • Chief of Department
  • Deputy Chief of Department
  • Major
    • Line managers
  • Captain
  • Lieutenant
    • Command members
  • Sergeant

  • Create an in-game rank that has the tools to host these events

Maybe allow Patrol/Traffic/TFU Trainers to set them up, but they must be SGT+?

So does this mean we are going back to the old system of being a PO and patrolling with higher ups before getting officer?? If so that's great I'm just curious no criticism!

I’m pretty sure this is all members of IA - due to the fact they look into complaints therefore complicates the process. The people looking into the complaints shouldn’t be the ones voting. However I’m not sure @Momo

PO is currently a rank however it can only be given to people who's blacklist appeal have been accepted early or the CC voting for the officer to be demoted to PO. I'd imagine the system will be staying the same

This isn't something I agree with and is also marked in the documents I took this out of as it is imo unnecessary. Besides if this were to be implemented currently it would cause major issues.

Ranks aren't gonna change much as that doesn't really change anything, for now only SSGT will be removed. dispatch will not have a head for now but might in the future

This is ridiculous, not a single positive change for traffic here and I would like to know if we have any say or vote in stopping these proposed changes because clearly the Head of Traffic doesn't. I can see some positive change for TFU and supervisors but everything else is awful.

With the automated application, you will go through one stage and if you pass that, you'll be whitelisted as TFU after a TFU trainer has verified it. Same as Dispatch applications currently

With automated applications, as much as I see them cool it takes all the human interaction out of the PD. In my opinion, training to get in should stay with trainers.
With this update you’ll be able to easily get let’s say TFU and then if you do something wrong its up to them to sort it out afterwards, surely we should prevent bad quality before they get in?
