@GamingPeach thanks for responding, taking the time to read my suggestions and being willing to take in suggestions in the first place. I can't wait to see what you come up with, what changes, etc. Perhaps take away RTU's undercover vehicles and give them to patrol for a subsection, a section charged with actual undercover operations? they could be involved in gang prevention, drug crime, etc. I would LOVE to see that. Just something that gives Patrol a nice change of pace, some roleplay. Makes RTU stick to road traffic incidents instead of just being an upgrade of Patrol itself.

@Worker Ant suggested something like this a few times, never came to fruition. Now, it's actually kinda doable...

the problem is, limiting people so that they can't be in RTU & Undercover at the same time.

@Devon Stewart I'd love to see undercover be an actual subsection of Patrol itself, tasked with more community work, like drug crime and other non-violent crime that actually calls for an undercover police car. Kinda like some other communities i've been apart of on other games. Drug Officers always roll in undercovers. Steakouts, following suspects of interest for prevention policing if such a thing isn't a contradiction and can be done. They can be involved in traffic related incidents too I suppose. Restriction comes from the system itself and let's be honest, it probably will not be implemented because people play as themselves, as self-inserts on this serious roleplay community, and not as characters apart of a fictional world.

Thanks to an agreement between myself and some anonymous developers willing to take a paypal donation, I have been granted additional benefits for not joining RTU and shall remain a full time patrol division member.

Here you can see me holding what is NOT a G3A3, but some attachments for my service glock.

@GamingPeach is it possible to get all Officer's to follow a etiquette for proper parking near emergency situations? The amount of people pulling up, leaving their cars sideways and blocking entry for other emergency vehicles is too much just to shave of a few milliseconds to get to a shootout quicker. For a situation at slums I always park on the yellow line wherever the road is headed. For Regals I use the parking spaces or align my vehicle along the walkway, double parking next to each other creates a mess. This etiquette can be ignored of course if you're intending on using your vehicle as cover or other means.

Another big problem is, whole force responds and leaves prisoner transport to other officers like the RTU on scene that has the SL65 out, or just leaving all together ignoring anyone handcuffed. You will also sometimes only see the Officer In Charge being left alone which puts them at a high risk of being gunned down/flanked.

Haven't found anything like this being pointed out in the resources.

Hello Creepis,
I can understand where your frustration is coming from. The OIC should always be giving out orders to lower-ranked officers and making sure they set up a perimeter. If officers ignore this, they will end up getting reprimands or some form of corrective action.

At the moment, Patrol have suspended the Training Sessions pending review due to a few reasons. One being attendance.

If you have any more questions, feel free to reply to this thread, Private message myself or Peach or open a Help Desk ticket towards patrol.

Not gonna lie, Its looking like a pretty bleak future for patrol (and the rest of the PD). The only thing we've actually been promised is a new car, which will only be accessible by patrol supervisors, and a Van for corporals. Both of which will be replacing the Cadillac Escalade however which is a massive con in my eyes.

I have a few ideas, but be prepared, some as opposed to additional benefits for patrol by adding new stuff will be idea's involving taking away from RTU.
A few idea's for patrol of mine include:
They should stay 1 step ahead of other officers in armoury progression regarding handguns:
For example: A patrol officer will have access to the P99 alongside the glock and M9 by default, whilst an RTU officer will just have the glock and M9 til they reach senior. A patrol Sgt will have access to the USP40, the P226, The M9, The Glock 17, and P99, as well as the glock 20, whilst a traffic officer ranked Sgt will also have access to these weapons except the Glock 20. This won't apply for the shotgun which should remain Cpl+.

Vehicles:
All vehicles except the Lt. Car should remain division specific. For example, RTU should have no access to any of the dodge chargers and the likes, and should remain with just the unmarked, The porsche, the BMW, and the Merc.

RTU Vehicles should be faster than patrol ones of course but come with the downside of fuel consumption, Requiring more skill to handle, and less ramming power, due to the RTU Vehicle lineup being sports vehicles essentially, whilst Patrol Vehicles are muscle cars (except the crown vic). RTU Cars as a result of their additional speed should also come at the downside of having less HP than patrol vehicles. This will encourage RTU to utilise training and experience in order to not wreck cars and demonstrate that they are worthy of traffic duties.

Something that's always confused me about RTU is why having specific traffic officers is even a thing on a server which features like 2 stretches of highway total and why it takes an application and an assessment just to have slightly faster cars, a speed camera, and some folding barricades (which are never used). The only useful aspect of RTU is the "Special" vehicles, like the unmarked car and the Merc interceptor. Even then, to use these vehicles, they could have just created a sub division specialising in pursuit tactics and high speed chases, similar to how they made a sub division for additional firearms and special weapons.
