Hey, just wonderin if you were an officer and someone wants to jump of a ledge, but you negotiate them off, do you arrest them? And if so, what law do you put them in for?

You generally detain them for their own safety and take them somewhere far away from the ledge.

Standing by a ledge threatening to jump isn't against the law though, so you have to release them.

I've always released them but I've heard of them being arrested in the past for 10.1. I haven't personally seen this myself but I've heard of it. I just take them to hospital for RP reasons and drop them off

I’ve seen them be arrested for 10.1 before once, but that’s mainly because nearly every one I go to the person jumps anyways. I don’t think people arrest the person unless they are trying to gain from it very blatantly aka wanting to kill themselves over gambling then asking for money to come down off the ledge. Which would then fall under extortion.

Inform the suicidal person that they're loitering. Give them a lawful order to leave the ledge (and the area), if they do not comply immediately arrest them for 6.5 later, maximum.
Don’t forget to tell them to stop resisting or they will be tazed.

Add a psychiatric ward in the current hospital where cops can send suicidal people to for a certain amount of time, similar to jail.
