Update Log - 03/07/2019

A new update just went live, with a very long list of changes! All of this has been possible due to the hard work by @Carrot, @Fredy, @Bolli and myself. This is also the first update that @Ayjay has helped to write some of the code for.


Firstly, we have added Vehicle Registration Plates:

Here are some of the features of the new plates:
  • All cars get given a random plate when you purchase them
  • Most job cars have their own distinctive plate, including the badge number for the PLPD
  • Custom plates can be purchased at the City Hall front desk
  • Vehicles no longer display the owners name on the HUD
  • The police computer can search for vehicle owner by the car registration plate
  • The vehicle registration will appear on the HUD of the Speed Camera
I have also been working with @Collier, @Wewai, @Jason Kile and @Thomas Fredrick from the PD to produce some changes to the dispatch functionality:
  • Emergency Services can assign themselves to a Dispatch Unit
  • Anyone in the same Dispatch Unit has keys to each others cars
  • Anyone in the same Dispatch Unit has access to a Unit Voice Radio though the old "Dispatch Radio" bind key
  • Dispatchers now spawn in their office if there are no civilians inside it, and no longer have a time limit for NLR
  • Dispatchers can open the police computer over the Dispatcher Map
  • Dispatchers can now see the current equipment (e.g. Heavy TFU) of each officer
There have also been a few other job changes:
  • Majors now get the HK45 and the USP40 is now available for Sergeants
  • Added the badge for the Assistant Chief of Department
  • Adjusted the Senior Officers rank colour to match the new one on plpd.online
  • Roadcrew can no longer lock the door at the roadcrew station
  • Roadcrew now get cones when on duty
  • Firefighters now get bandages when joining the job
  • Confiscation money now goes directly to the bank
  • Secret Service now spawn their cars in parking spaces
  • DNA tool now displays who finished a person off
  • Delivery packages can no longer be taken from the warehouse without a courier
  • Delivery packages taken from the bank of a van now send money to the owner of the van
  • Added more Roadcrew and Medic vehicle spawns
Here are all the other changes, that don't really fit in the categories above:
  • Added a city option to the One In The Chamber event
  • Added an ATM to the pub at the docks
  • Added a helpful NPC at City Hall that can:
    • Synchronise your premium without rejoining the server
    • Send your planters to storage if they are empty or the plants are dead
  • Door ownership no longer appears on the HUD
  • Changing weapon at the shooting range now empties any magazines you have filled
  • STANAG Magazines are now compatible with all STANAG Firearms
  • Players can now join the bank robbery between collecting the vault cracker and placing it
  • The following last name structures are now accepted: "O'Name", "MacName", "McName"
  • Change the restricted zone at the bank to only be around the PD, allowing more room to move around in the other directions
  • Increase the Organisation MOTD limit to 2000 characters
Finally, there has been a large number of bug fixes, which you can see here:
  • Replaced the broken effect when hit by bullets
  • Fixed Organisation MOTD blocking the leave organisation button on high resolutions
  • Fixed not being able to hear people near you when using CCTV or being ragdolled
  • Fixed dispatcher maps not locating people in vehicles correctly
  • Fixed demotions not working when in a seat or vehicle
  • Fixed scaling issue when trying to leave an organisation with 4k resolution
  • Fixed being able to move too quickly when surrendering
  • Fixed stoves, saw horses and baths not working with mixtures after restarts
  • Fixed the most common "white vehicle" bug
  • Fixed emergency lights making it hard to drive a car in first person
  • Fixed "Classic Country" radio station
  • Fixed vehicle lights not behaving correctly during the day
  • Fixed a typo in the description of the church
  • Fixed deleting records on the Police Computer
  • Fixed the Act Wheel not working if you had multiple keys bound to +menu_context
  • Fixed the server thinking you still had a weapon after returning a armory weapon
  • Fixed many invalid entity Lua errors
  • Removed a large chunk of deprecated code, to help things run just a little bit more smoothly

Update 4th July:
A patch went live this morning to iron out a few issues from this update, as well as a couple of other things.

Here are the changes:
  • Vehicle registration now appears on fuel pumps and fuel cans
  • Non-police no longer see the demote button on the computer
  • Most police vehicles now have a front license plate
  • Fixed the license plate positions for all cars with body groups in the way
  • Fixed the license plate positions of a few other cars that were slightly off
  • Fixed various bugs with the DNA tool
  • Fixed the AK74-U in the gungame event
  • Fixed the Luger ironsight being positioned far above where the bullets went
Thanks to @Madda and @Spoon for helping go through the body groups

I'm very impressed with this update Senior Administration. This has been something requested for a long time and I'm glad to see it finally being introduced. Adding this also opens up other opportunities for us now, so really thank you and keep up the great work.

Raider tries to find an appartment > raids unowed appartment > alarm goes off > shoots cops > banned for 3.4

I think the HUD removal from doors will cause a lot more problems than it will solve, IRL there would be for sale signs and you could easily phone the bank to see if a property is owned or not. But I'll make a suggestion :)
