Update Log 01/12/2021
First, of all, this is going to be a pretty long post as it contains both the Christmas stuff and the Community Spotlight for the month of November, so we suggest you get a cup of joes before reading this.
Christmas
This year we've decided to do Christmas a bit differently. In past years we've only had Christmas clothing, snow, presents and a doll. By suggestion from our lovely developer @Samuel, we've decided to put massive efforts into Christmas this year, which includes a completely new way of getting Christmas clothing, snowballs, candy, and the biggest thing yet! A proper Christmas calendar with updates, and/or events every day from 1st of December to the 25th of December. This post will be updated every day with the new changes that we release during the month of December, so keep an eye open!
2021 Christmas Present
Later this month you will be able to collect the yearly Christmas present in the park, at the NPC sitting down on a bench next to the red mini cooper with a Santa hat on it. And as usual, you can only get one present, and it's not an item you can drop or store in your storage or trunk. The date will be announced via the above calendar image.
Gingerbread
Gingerbread will be the currency this Christmas, very much like Candy was the currency during Halloween. You can only get gingerbread from an NPC located in the Market outside City Hall. In exchange for gingerbread, you'll have to give him Christmas Trees. The NPC will not accept the small Christmas Trees that are grown in drug pots, he expects proper size Christmas Trees that can only be grown in dirt, seeds for this can be bought from the same NPC.
Christmas Clothing
During previous years you've been able to buy Christmas Clothing from Jennifer's for $1. This year we wanted to change things up and decided to do like we do during Halloween, that you have to buy clothing via another currency, and that being gingerbread. An NPC is located in Bazaar shop number 3, when talking to him you can purchase Santa hats and sweaters. It's important to note that you can not buy several clothing items, and then go back to put them on as we do during Halloween, this NPC works like the Jennifer's one.
Mystery Box
The NPC in Bazaar will on some days sell a Mystery Box, this box can be opened on the 25th of December and will give you one or several random items, which can be anything from a bunch of metal to the rarest item. This box can be dropped, so it's a perfect gift to give to someone! The dates when this can be bought will be announced in the calendar, so keep an eye open!
Discord Giveaways
We will be conducting several giveaways during December, and these will be conducted on Discord, so make sure you join and connect your steam account to participate!
Christmas Tree Competition
The person at the end of December that has the most Christmas Trees (big ones, and now also the small ones) will win something big. So keep an eye open on the forums for when it's time to put your name down when we are ready to start counting!
Christmas Ringtone
To add to the Christmas spirit, Fredy Nexus (the smartphone) has come out with an update that changes your ringtone to a Christmas tune. The silent mode still works though.
Snow
@Lelios has worked on some new snow textures that look amazing. Normally we don't have proper snow on the roads, but with @Lelios new materials, roads will have snow that actually looks realistic.
Community Recognition for the month of November
@John Daymon - Formerly one of great moderators Daymon has been a bit of a minge sometimes since leaving the staff team but he has turned that around recently! He has been a great asset in helping new players become established and showing them the ropes! Keep it up, contact Community Management for 50K next time you’re in-game!
