Why should this appeal be considered?: I believe that with the knowledge I had, I did act within the bounds of valueing my life. My ORG was doing a PD raid, and at the time, I was getting myself into a position where I could go and help them.

When I drove my car from storage to the backdoor of PD, I wasnt involved in anything yet. My car was also already in motion before the officer even attempted to make contact with me. When I was reversing, I very briefly saw the cop pointing his gun straight, not neccesarily following my vehicle as seen in my clip. I assumed briefly that that wasnt for me, until I heard "out of the car", when I turned my view around, I saw him running behind me, not pointing his gun. In an attempt to flee I kept reversing, until I noticed that I wasnt getting away, and then I jumped out and ran behind my vehicle for cover.

As soon as I was behind my vehicle, I noticed how close the cop was, and that I didnt want to take further risk. and decided to remain crouched and give up. I was shot due to me being visibly armed, and behind cover. (which I am not disputing, just disputing the fact that I did take actions to value my life).

The actions I took to value my life:
- Once I saw the cop was indeed talking to me, I kept reversing and analyzing the situation, to see if I could get away, I did not see his gun anymore at this time.
- Once I noticed no distance was being made, I jumped out of my car, and ran behind cover, to get a chance to eitehr fight back, or gain some more time, and most importantly. To get out of view of the cop's weapon.
- Once behind cover, I noticed the cop was way too close, and had his weapon ready, I at that point decided it wasnt safe to fight back, and decided to remain crouched. Keeping the car between me and the officer's gun.


Note: In the cops POV, which is what this report was only handled on at the time. It shows the cop's gun more clearly, but as you can see in my POV, this is not visible when hes moving for me, because of the walking animation. I did stop the moment I noticed his gun come up, when he stopped moving. I've also said this in the F6 report follow up seen in "Additional information"

After a thorough review, we have reached the conclusion that you did, in fact, break 3.4 in this situation when you got out of the car and went to take cover. First, 3.4 guidelines (which you can find here) state the following:

Another situation where it may be justifiable to not follow orders under gunpoint is if you are very close to cover that would withstand the impact of bullets and protect you for long enough so you can pull out your weapon.

In this case, during most time you had to get to the back of the car, you were gun-pointed, and the officer could have easily shot you repeatedly as your entire character was exposed to him, so the immediacy of your access to cover was questionable. We, however, understand that from your POV this was not so evident, although through the context and the previous interaction it should have been clearer to you that you were going to be gun-pointed. More importantly, however you took cover behind a vehicle which did not fully cover you, and a good portion of your body was exposed from the moment you crouched, meaning you had no real protection.
