What HomeCimena Surround System to buy and why?

Hey there guys,

lately, I am interested in buying a surround sound system for my tv in my room. Problem is, I don't know which one to buy and if it is good for my room. As for now, I got a room of 4x3m Room with aprox. 1x2m ''empty build-in closet'' where my tv stands om a shelf.

My budget is around 250-300 Euro. Not big, but good enough to feel the difference. What I am scared of though, is a homecinema set really good for a little room like mine? Since most of em are used in living rooms, which mine is clearly not.

Does one of you have more experience when it comes to buying Surround sound systems/HomeCinema-sets? I would like to hear your opinion and your expertice on this subject!

I guess you couldn't call it that much experience but I have a home cinema type deal in my bedroom, I've got a tiny ass bedroom and I wouldn't really call the setup surround sound. But I've got two logitech speakers I bought online in front of me and I made a stereo speaker that goes in the closet behind me: http://imgur.com/a/qabwS. I plan on buying a woofer driver online and building the casing myself and resting it infront of my PC. The whole thing was kind of a budget project for me since I couldn't afford a fancy home cinema nor did I really need a top class one. As the brains of the system I used a Raspberry Pi running 'Pi-music box' and wired it from below my desk to all the speakers. All together it costed about £40 (not including the subwoofer yet) I salvaged the speakers so I guess that cut a bit off the price too.
