Maybe you could have talked with the user and explained it to him? Your justification of "it only took 30 seconds" and whatever "im not theres the guy who made an AR more petty than mine cause i made the AR on him" means is just making you farm dumb ratings which is something I'd imagine you don't really want to receive.
Plus I'd also like to point out that "it only took 30 seconds" isn't really a justification for making the AR. Within those 30 seconds you could had told him what he did was incorrect - that would probably take probably 5 seconds at minimum.
Seems like a misallocation of spare time to me!

Just because someone else's AR was even pettier than yours doesn't mean yours wasn't petty.
They post ARs because a rule break is a rule break. No where in the rules does it say that it's not against the rules to break the rules slightly. If someone feels that someone broke the rules their allowed to post an AR no matter how "petty" you think it is. The community shouldn't say someone is allowed to break the rules solely off the reason "the community is dying so I don't want the playerbase to die so I won't report someone"
