Recently had to upgrade my motherboard, subsequently I had to upgrade some other components as well. I assembled the computer and it is working fine, the only issue is it can’t connect to WiFi without a WiFi extender. (I have tested it out with my friend’s)

I was just wondering if anyone knew some good options for WiFi extenders? My budget is ~€100. It also currently isn’t feasible to connect my computer directly to Ethernet.

I was told that the best WiFi extenders are 2 piece and connect with Ethernet cords but I can’t find any matching this description.

Considered a powerline adapter? It’s ethernet but you use two adapters, one plugs into your computer and one for your router instead of running the wire across the house

Thanks guys, I checked it out. It’s exactly what I was looking for. I appreciate your help (:
Just a tip that powerlines really depend on your houses electrical wiring. If it's a rundown mill from 1920s and you have a shit breaker/fuse box it could be very unstable. Some other electrical appliances can also disturb the signal.

Just make sure the powerline you install goes directly into the wall socket and you don't plug it into any extension bricks.

Ok, I appreciate the info. I was told the thing about extension cords but I never really understood it… (and I didn’t follow it) Why am I not meant to plug it into extension cords?

Another option which would be better compared to powerline adapters is a pair of MoCA adapters. These are very situational however, and only work if you have coaxial cable running through your home.

A good way to check is whether you have terminations near your router and then in the room your PC for TV arial.

I’ll be sure to check this out, but any chance you could elaborate a bit further on how to check if I have a coaxial cable running through my home?
