Criminal Discussion

I hate to say it. But if the few of you who do everything you can to find every possible exploit and advantage considered how your playstyle impacts the rest of the players, we wouldn't have to nerf the "fun stuff". Because trust me, the "fun stuff" when you are raiding bank with 5 AS50s jumping and spinning around is not "fun stuff" to anyone else.

I mean come on. This was just brought to my attention. There is a small group of people who pull this kinda shit. Any sain person can see this is not how you are meant to play, and that this gives you an unintended and unfair advantage. So no we don't hate pvpers. Hell we built a whole map from the ground up with more fair and balanced combat as one of the primary goals, and then have continued to update it for the past 9 months with new properties and balance improvements. Our job is to make the server most fun for the majority of players. So yes, we have to nerf things when a small group decide to abuse them in ways that aren't fun for others. And if you're unhappy about that, look to the people that forced us to do it.

I'm not a negative person, and I don't like to get involved in this kinda stuff. But I wanted to make it clear that there is always a reason behind a decision we make, and it is never "we hate pvpers". We are never looking for the next way to make the game "less fun", and I think I speak for the whole dev team when I say we'd rather not have this cat and mouse chase needing to nerf and patch every little quirk because they will get exploited by a few people. But if nerfing some fun features is the price for keeping the server fair and fun for the majority of the playerbase (and especially new players), then it is a price worth paying.
Not saying anything else but I know that the guy on the left is Johnny Pablo….

I want to contest and say that it rather feels like a stretch to ask for proper meaningful changes only for the suggestion thread to not see a day of light soon after and get hit with the ol' "we don't have plans to do this" with no further discussion for at least a year which is just a insanely lame way of putting things sometimes despite community support and genuine good ideas + positives I see unjustly get denied, the dev team shouldn't be so selective and hell should allow more community contribution whether it be through providing resources to testing things on the dev server on changes that the community wants to see, not just purely what the developer wants to develop which is the attitude I see, this is more of a broader issue but I digress.

If you want to make a decent update for not just criminals but everyone else then instead of adding new guns, bring viability to all weapons by making them fit in with the current meta, a great example is the M4 buff that has been asked for many times as it used to be one of the pinnacle rifles to use until things got changed about 6 years ago I think and people moved on to using AK/SCAR (let's exclude the as50 cancer, we know how bad that one got and action was quick to be taken when it got that out of hand). You could also have extensive testing with the 'PvPers' of the server, aren't those your best guys to test things with? you already know who to exclude axaxa

Sure these things take a hell of a lot of time but we're patient enough to let things cook up so nothing game-breaking slides in through the cracks, I hope there's more transparency and openness to come out of this at least
I have to agree with Clarky here, many good suggestions are just denied because the devs don't want to do it, despite community support. People are not often putting in good suggestions because the backlog goes back months, almost to a year at this point, and the community opinion doesn't matter. I understand the devs do this of their own free will but they're here to serve the vision of the community not themselves, if they did not want to do that they shouldn't develop for a pre-established community. That maybe a controversial opinion here and if they created a game from the base up themselves I'd understand it is their vision, but perp is a long collection of community vision. To top it off getting new devs in is just painful, plenty of community members can code but they'll never be allowed to implement something into the game. I do some modelling myself and suggested a police related model change but it'll never see the light of day nor will anyone ever let me just attempt it myself.
