    One week later. I think I now have the initial rework in a usable place which also allowed me to make some QoL changes that weren't possible before which will be nice. That said, now to redo another thing, but hopefully that one should be painless and then the real fun begins.

    Also in a couple days I plan to announce something I have been thinking about recently which will have an effect sooner than later. So stay tuned for that, as I think it could be fun and has been a topic of discussion lately.

    Yay for extensively redoing existing systems :dead: to make it possible to expand on them going forward. Good news it is coming along smoothly and I should be able to get back on track soon. Which I can't wait to do, as it will be exciting stuff I hope.

    I can't reveal much yet but I have made some of the assets that will be needed. It's something thats a bit overdue but should be a fun change of pace for those who decide to do it.

    My hint would be that it's a long standing thing people often do in PH but hasn't seen a lot of additions in a long time. So it's really time to get some more going with it.

    Is it just me or is there no way that V6 has been out for 1 year-ish already? It's been so much better not having people walking onto the highway constantly. Not to mention just looking at the city from the lookout point is incredible if you ask me. Amazing Paralake has become since V1 in so many ways.

    walking across intersection in v5 was a rite of passage for many sweatervests, this has evolved into being run over on the crosswalk outside PD. PERP is beautiful....

    @Steward No, probably not. V6 was made out of necessity due to highway changes which meant we needed to change all areas to allow for it making V6 basically a whole new map. V7 will be still some large scale changes most likely but not to the extreme of V6. Plus this will mean we can hopefully release it quicker than V6 took. Not to say soon but sooner.

    Has it really been two weeks since I last posted? Some stuff I've been doing you may notice and some you may not as there haven't been update posts. Like /org being blocked during NLR. TeamSpeak already was and /org is the text equivalent so it should have been a long time ago.

    I get ur point of view “don’t die” if u wanna talk to ur org. But if ur doing a raid u may need to act as “bait” and get killed forcing someone out of a position so ur org can win the raid.
    Not sure if its possible but maybe a solution for it could be if someone had died in an area of other people in their org they can’t communicate with them but can with the rest of the org etc

    Death is something that ideally should be avoided at all costs. We have always chosen to not punish players through monetary or excessive item loss when they die as it is. Missing a few minutes worth of communications is trivial if you ask me. There might be annoying edge cases like the police example. Generally you will spawn in the same vicinity anyways, so you can wait around spawn then chat from there.

    There wasn't any official update post but if you wish to try out the body lifting yourself simply hold your reload button (commonly R) while dragging a body/bodybags. It's best to grab when close to the body and nearest the middle of the body as you can and don't move too much while doing so. Let me know what you think.

    As has been stated a million times. Throwing was never an added feature, it was just something possible like the body slinging (see previous post). I don't know what removed it exactly nor do I plan to revert what was changed at the time. I will make further changes with body lifting probably but it still can work as needed once you learn how to do it best.

    I'm sure many people at this point miss body tossing. More specifically, being able to move bodies and bodybags over railings or many other obstructions. Good news is, I have worked on something that allows for this, but it does not throw the body like it used to; instead it will raise the body up and over what is in front of you (if done properly).

    So... Looking through all the guns, I'm not saying it's impossible to fix but it will require a ton of work, so may not happen first thing. That said, I will try to make steps that would help correct it as possible.

    Basically as it is now, I'll fix one but that then messes up the rest. So if one is correct then others will be wrong. It just will take a long time to change what's needed to make it work as it should.

    So the first day and a half were fun weren't they? :facepalm: Now that the soft lock is fixed; how are we liking the update? I will keep looking for more things to improve and fix.

    I think I see what you're talking about now. I will look into this and see how easy it is to fix. Fingers crossed it isn't different for each and every gun as that'll be a looooong project but still... I'll do what I can.

    Oof. Looks like it's a per gun thing, in some cases minor, in other cases quite large. At least for the meantime it goes where the real aim shows, not where the crosshair appears in some ways, so it doesn't rely on people using that. That said, I will work on this and get it done before moving to something further that's new.

    I know I said it would be last weekend, but I was working on some final refinements to a few things that I wanted to get just right.     On the contrary, adding it so they automatically turn on will give people less of an excuse if they are pulled over. RTU would actually benefit from this as they have to manually turn them off.

    If anyone is voting "No" for performance concerns, let me say this: A tank of fuel doesn't last a very long time, so in all likelihood not much would change from how it is now because people will still need to turn their vehicle on and off several times throughout a day so vehicles aren't likely to keep the headlights on all through the day as well. EVs may be an exception but that is their responsibility to manage.

    Not trying to say you weren't, I'm just trying to say that they should go vote neutrally on their own feelings of it rather than only reading a dissenting opinion first. Not meaning yours is right or wrong. As there are pros and cons both ways.

    Something to consider when I talk about any sort of recoil change. We are not Battlefield or CoD so no run and gun type gunplay. We tend treat characters as an average person, not a seasoned combat veteran. That said, my goal is to make it feel more manageable, if possible.

    Trying to describe it is hard, But look at for example ready or not, Thats a game that you can consider to have perpheads eliments especally with TFU for example as you have you scar your G36C for example, where they feel wighty, where you know the recoil is going to go if you hold ur mouse and not ect

    So as an update with nothing new yet. I was looking at new ways we could do recoil, so a lot of testing various means with nothing definitive yet that has felt right. I might make a comprehensive poll about gunplay as it currently is soon.

    Altered animations so visually there is less clutter. Sako, Mac and Uzi become way more usable that way. As of now there is one ban for this.

    I think a recoil rework/spray patterns are very needed. I'd prefer a consistent spray pattern over what we have currently, which is just random horizontal recoil with a shit ton of bloom/spread if you're not standing completely still.

    Would it be possible to add an option to use peripheral scopes in F1>Options? I don't know the technical complications to this but if it is doable and heck even if it requires reconnecting to the server to apply the changes to your game, I would love this.

    It isn't really as simple as that. So right now I will not be looking too much into this sorry to say but eventually I will see if there may be a different solution possible.
