    Not this weekend but sometime within a week from now I may try doing a change to gun shot sound loudness that may help with identifying direction some. I'd be curious to hear when people think I have done it, to see how obvious is is. Some may still be inherently louder though, but this hopefully helps with the major issue people have.

    It may or may not happen at the same time but I will actually get around to reverting/editing the change that made some sights go through your face (hopefully all get fixed by it). I keep meaning to but... Uhhhh... Things and stuff, so I haven't yet.

    Given the process for what I'm making is a bit more involved than something like cocaine production but it clearly wouldn't be nearly as profitable. How opposed would you be to making the cocaine production have a bit more steps to it?

    As stated... It's not really the process that I can't figure out, it's more of how to balance it out. As currently cocaine processing is basically set and forget almost entirely, while adding other new products will require more steps to be done and will generally be far less profitable, so finding the appeal to do them is tricky.

    I don't disagree that it could be tied into that kind of thing but even that still requires there to be some incentive to do it. I'll figure something out, there's still a lot more to do first.

    Being busy making all this stuff for future additions reminds me how much I both enjoy and loathe asset creation. It's coming along and I probably am doing way more than needed but I like variety, plus I hope to use in other ways. Even if highly simplified processes for some of it, but I don't want it to be impossible either.

    There will be a bunch for this, some things you may know, others you may not. But I hope it makes ways for even more that I know some players have been wanting. The process may be simplified to some degree, but it will make it practical and understandable of how to do things.

    Nothing will be removed, I can guarantee that much. The rest is TBD, but even if so, it's not as though it makes doing anything currently not worthwhile as this is still quite a long ways out.

    Final day of the confetti cannons! I hope you all enjoyed that. It was a mess to keep up with every day, but I did learn a few things which may lead to future additions. Tomorrow I will post a teaser image of future stuff, though I make no guarantees to its timeframe.

    So apart from confetti stuff, I have been working away at creating new assets for some new money making ventures. I haven't figured out their profitability or how some parts of it may work, but hopefully it gives ways for people to own properties outside of shops to legally earn some money. I should be able to share more soon.

    Sounds good. Overall I have a pretty good idea of how I want things to work, but it is a question of how much money it could possibly make because I don't want it to be all that close to what drugs can, simply because it is legal and therefore low risk.

    I have updated the confetti effect some more to be more dynamic and nicer starting the 3rd of July. Additionally the ones related to WC26 will shoot more and longer lasting confetti than the standard one. This affects all of them, including for teams who have already lost (but you may want to hold onto those as collector items now).

    So for fun I will be taking the the number of confetti cannons that exist at the end of their crafting day as the amount of support there is for a team to win and I will announce who the PH community favors on their match day.

    Starting today with South Africa and Canada.

    It's a close one... The community favors Canada to win 53% to 47%!

    Honestly, that clip does look bad but if that actually hit them it should have killed so it'd be helpful to know if it did and failed to kill or server registered it as a miss. I don't know why it would've missed since neither your or their motions were erratic. :confused:

    South Africa and Canada play on the 28th so they are craft-able on the 27th (and early hours until server restart).

    On the 29th, there are 6 teams that play, so they will be available to craft on the 28th (same idea as before).

    And so forth.

    I don't see where you're finding a day with 8 teams playing.

    Here is the M4A1 with the SCAR-L's fire rate and vice versa. You'll note that the M4A1 is much more controllable like this, so with the other changes made to firearms since their initial release, we may need to look at balancing some factors with them too.

    On 1% sales tax, fully kitted (red dot, comp) m4 is $20,220 and scar is $19,947 so the price difference for these two guns particularly aren't much of concern as it's only a very small margin. I think it would be a good starting point to unify them at least then tweak them accordingly to how it is valued, it would be more refined to some extents where its applicable.

    @Clarky I don't necessarily mean price difference between these (though it still favors the SCAR), but some other ones which share calibers, amongst their group may have a large price disparity, in which case it gets a bit tricky. I will need to pour over the numbers and see what can be done in some cases I guess.

    Did you ever fix the flash and scope issue? I remember the other day, someone said they didn’t get flashed when scoping and that it was new issue since scopes were tweaked if i recall correctly.

    Here's what the WC26 confetti cannons will be like tomorrow. Given that on Sunday is South Africa vs Canada those will only be available on Saturday (tomorrow). Eventually I may see if I can make a custom skin to identify them too.

    When you did the headlights turning on automatically at night, did you also intend for it to apply to player's flashlights as well? I've noticed that when it's night and I respawn as a cop, my flashlight is automatically turned on. Not sure if there is a direct correlation but thought I'd point it out :D

    Completely different systems and that was a thing before my change for that. Not definitive proof but the best way I can show it.

    So the confetti cannons would seem to be ready for when the knockout stages begin. I also altered the confetti effect a little in general. They also get a special tag so you can't scam when selling.
    Reminder: they will only be craftable the day before the teams play so the losing team will not be available again, so be sure to make plenty when you can.

    I'd have to look at the overall schedule but if there is a suitable day close to the final, I may make all the teams that were knocked out during the group stage available for a day. Just so there is a complete set for all teams that competed in the Cup as a whole.

    Currently the World Cup going on, you may not be a fan of the sport, but in an effort to make limited time items... Starting soon, I will be making it so you can craft a confetti cannon that fires the national colors of that team. They will only be available each day for the teams playing the next day, so losing teams will not be around for long, you will not know which to craft more of than another.

    One week later. I think I now have the initial rework in a usable place which also allowed me to make some QoL changes that weren't possible before which will be nice. That said, now to redo another thing, but hopefully that one should be painless and then the real fun begins.

    Yay for extensively redoing existing systems :dead: to make it possible to expand on them going forward. Good news it is coming along smoothly and I should be able to get back on track soon. Which I can't wait to do, as it will be exciting stuff I hope.

    My hint would be that it's a long standing thing people often do in PH but hasn't seen a lot of additions in a long time. So it's really time to get some more going with it.

    Is it just me or is there no way that V6 has been out for 1 year-ish already? It's been so much better not having people walking onto the highway constantly. Not to mention just looking at the city from the lookout point is incredible if you ask me. Amazing Paralake has become since V1 in so many ways.

    walking across intersection in v5 was a rite of passage for many sweatervests, this has evolved into being run over on the crosswalk outside PD. PERP is beautiful....

    @Steward No, probably not. V6 was made out of necessity due to highway changes which meant we needed to change all areas to allow for it making V6 basically a whole new map. V7 will be still some large scale changes most likely but not to the extreme of V6. Plus this will mean we can hopefully release it quicker than V6 took. Not to say soon but sooner.

    Has it really been two weeks since I last posted? Some stuff I've been doing you may notice and some you may not as there haven't been update posts. Like /org being blocked during NLR. TeamSpeak already was and /org is the text equivalent so it should have been a long time ago.

    I get ur point of view “don’t die” if u wanna talk to ur org. But if ur doing a raid u may need to act as “bait” and get killed forcing someone out of a position so ur org can win the raid.
    Not sure if its possible but maybe a solution for it could be if someone had died in an area of other people in their org they can’t communicate with them but can with the rest of the org etc

    Death is something that ideally should be avoided at all costs. We have always chosen to not punish players through monetary or excessive item loss when they die as it is. Missing a few minutes worth of communications is trivial if you ask me. There might be annoying edge cases like the police example. Generally you will spawn in the same vicinity anyways, so you can wait around spawn then chat from there.

    There wasn't any official update post but if you wish to try out the body lifting yourself simply hold your reload button (commonly R) while dragging a body/bodybags. It's best to grab when close to the body and nearest the middle of the body as you can and don't move too much while doing so. Let me know what you think.

    As has been stated a million times. Throwing was never an added feature, it was just something possible like the body slinging (see previous post). I don't know what removed it exactly nor do I plan to revert what was changed at the time. I will make further changes with body lifting probably but it still can work as needed once you learn how to do it best.
