if it's the same socket yes, you would be able to use the same cooler. Same goes for any other AMD processor, it has to be the same socket and the motherboard must be able to support it. But regardless; with this CPU you dont have to swap shit for 3+ years

Intel for the long run. Amd if u want to complain about fps stutters and low performances. I have an i7 6700k for 3-4 years and had no trouble with stutters and other shit, i run everything just fine.
