Yes, if you died I apologize, but I only went off what I saw and what I was told. I was told you escaped and didn't see your body so I had every reason to believe you escaped.

Seeing that Dan (at the time) was currently in the mindset that you had escaped the raid, as informed by someone/organisation member in his base, his reasoning to kill you was justified. As known now, it was quite likely that this was a simple miscommunication and was unfortunately not aware that you did die in the raid until after he had killed you.
