The response from some of you in this thread does not exactly make me want to discuss it. I'm glad that I surround myself with the good people in the community, and the thanks in this post was aimed at them, there are a lot of you, and you are appreciated massively by the queer community. To the small, vocal group that chose to spam this thread, or more vocally complain about this; you're the reason we need a pride month.
As for V6, you will just have to wait.

Because some people find an entire month dedicated to a certain group of people useless?
I'm not homophobic, xenophobic or whatever else phobic, I just think people always discussing it is pretty useless
Not everyone is comfortable enough to identify as whatever they want to, as they feel pressure to fit in with others, whether it's family, friends or otherwise.
Pride month is here to show acceptance for people that are willing to go above and beyond to reach what they want.
Being a bitch about it really doesn't help, if you don't have anything good to say, just don't say it.
this is not a accepting or not accepting discussion, at the end of the day, this is a gmod server forums and i dont see what Gender indetification or sexual orientation has to do with it because people really do simply do not care.

Every single day you and others get to spam the forums with the most braindead forum posts and you don't complain, yet when it's a completely harmless post about pride month you do complain.
Definitely not homophobic though.

While I have no care for any of this argument, I feel like claiming that people posting pictures of them playing games on a thread is why a pride month is necessary is a massive misalignment with what pride month is about and supposed to celebrate. Perhaps the threads replies referring to the argument should just be purged and locked as more of an announcement as not everyone will agree with what you do and that cannot be forced upon people.

This is a pretty ridiculous reception to a very harmless, positive thread. Is promoting inclusivity and diversity not something anyone could get behind? The sad truth is that people who don't conform to heteronormative ideals quite often find themselves within environments where they can not come out, out of fear of ostracization or worse. Trying to help foster a safe environment to help people give the opportunity to be themselves is a good thing, is it not? For as long as it can be in any way detrimental to an individual's health or safety to come out, it is important to spread awareness.

Thank you perpheads for making this community even more welcoming for the plpd players. It's always amazing to see such a humble and accepting community. You should add something for the crim players (for once) like a pride flag you can place outside our bases to improve drug growth! Or maybe a pride car with a new fuel source like the tesla. Maybe it could run off estrogen

Man people are pretty riled up over announcing a Month. Would be a shame if they extended their grief by bringing back the Pride Rank.
