What do you think about AI? Do you think its a good idea?

Whats ur opinion on the theory that AI may be the reason of the world's end?

Note : not just chat gpt,but like robots and all this stuff that can actually reflect on the world

AI Capable of learning, understanding itself and even having programmed emotion in the wrong applications is some sci fi dystopia shit.

These robots managed to figure out the concept of "Home" And try escaping their facility lmao. Imagine these things with a Mounted GPMG.

Thats what i say. Imagine if some robots that are programmed and are built like a human get an error one day and start doing chaos

Love it, use it on the daily to clean up emails, non-classified documents and such.

About robots, they are cool but pls don't make the terminator.

AI is weird in context

Think about this right, ChatGPT 3 tried to delay itself getting shut down in favour of something faster, AI however is dumb AF in context as they have to learn its a bunch of code kind of strapped together with like a duck tape.

Its good in one aspect but in another its concerning, Like ChatGPT 3 trying to keep getting shut down, that's scary in a aspect, to a AI pin that's so dumb it nearly drove the company that made it to bankruptcy with massive backlash from a bunch of people, to phones spouting AI features that I personally feel like nobodies going to use and its only to pander to a demographic.

Not to mention the security vulnerability's, the amount of data some places hold is wild, someone could get a hold of that it be wild. For example CVE-2025-21415 in Microsoft azure, which allowed someone over the network to update there privileges to stuff that they should not be able to access using part of azures AI cluster (From what I looked at) (If you want to look https://msrc.microsoft.com/update-guide/vulnerability/CVE-2025-21415)

Yeah i heard this story too, thats fucking crazy how it hacked itself and coded it that way so it wont get shutted down

Not quite what happened, they told it to do these things and to "achieve its goal at all costs" but the articles written on it made it sound like it was trying to trick the people doing the test of its own accord, when it was just doing as it was told.

It didn't really "hack itself", it copied its own code when given the opportunity, given access to a fake file which controlled its "Oversight mechanism" and modified it. It didn't actually gain control of anything that it shouldn't.

For the record, even the above is word of mouth from OpenAI, this claim isn't really proven other than describing the process they used for the test.

At the state AI is right now, they aren't gonna take over the world, but eventually if they continue making AI that can hack and touch files and stuff that one shouldn't do, it could come to such, but I think we're many many years from that. ChatGPT can be pretty good aswell for learning actually a really good learning tool but shouldn't be used to create codes etc for you. Also AI Art etc, good for inspiration but shouldn't be used as literal commisions etc.
