I'm 12 which means I don't know a lot of stuff and I wanted to ask "What does color correction do?" and "If I turn it off will it reduce lag?" If anyone has an answer it would be helpful, oh and some screenshots of what difference it makes when turned on/off.

Colour Correction is the process of resolving any colour issues with your footage. Almost every video editing or visual effects compositing software has tools to work with and correct the colour of your clips. In Adobe After Effects, the main tools I like to use is the Levels and the Curves effect.

Turning it off will improve your fps a tiny bit.

Color correction in games is used to set a certain mood, or to make sure that the colors in the levels are somewhat consistent by shifting the colors somewhat, here is a good example of before and after color correction:

BEFORE:

AFTER:

You could even do this with it:

It can improve your FPS somewhat by disabling it, but it'd be around a 1-5 FPS gain.

Its just post processing like Riekelt said.
You're probably best just to leave it on as its not that demanding.
