Unironically this whole point with the org leaderboard debate is that @exrobite wants it more restricted, where sure RP between normal people takes a hit, However im going to again say that you are never going to control how people play no matter how much you complain on the forums saying “tHiS Is BaD”, my point in this case is there is plenty of people that want to do the same thing over and over and be in a org that mainly does this e.g tax collectors - N.A.S.A - MIP, if they want to raid every 2 hours base and bank raid and if they like watching virtual xp go up, let them, it really does not affect you exrobite as you avoid most crim mains like they have a plague. You are mainly around PD, complaining on the forums, minging, or doing reports i dont really see you raiding robbing the bank, doing PD raids, basing and watching that little bar go up by +20xp just to get -40 xp for tk a mate for a laugh

TLDR - you complain too much for something you don't really get affected by, if people want to watch a bar go up let them your not god or nothing people have free will and will do it if they want

My biases are i could not give a shit about the leaderboard we done the whole carry ok grinding till we win mentality where we ended up with little members coming on now because they have lifes and are burnt tf out but we still hang around and chat we are still friends and we carry on raiding whenever really

Tbh I know my opinion doesn't matter, Like Tilin said if the org leaderboard gets removed no one will want to play. No crimes will happen which means cop RPing becomes useless. The org leaderboard is what keeps the server alive, Not everyone wants to sit in bazaar and craft. Keep mind that will also become useless since no one will wanna raid anymore.

The whole leaderboard system should have come far sooner to be honest, getting rid of it now would basically just revert us back to the whole "Everyones the top org because they are a high level or something" era. All the leaderboard achieves is confirming who is either le top gangsterinos and making people obsessively grind to the top of it, 2 feats we needed for far longer than most people even realise. Because a fraction of the playerbase is compulsively committing crimes en masse to reach the top isn't really a problem at all, Its a solution to people not wanting to base, raid or commit crimes.

Its already bad enough that players treat in character interactions as acts of out of character spite and decide that they hate someone OOCly because they committed a crime against them, Taking away the real incentive behind the actions would just further make people feel this way about the guy who joyrode their car for a few minutes.

Being on the top of the leaderboard doesn't actually mean you are the best organisation by any means, its all rather superficial anyways, But its the competition, and the In-character reason to actually know of and fear an org that actually contributes towards the quality of roleplay surrounding that org, even if said roleplay isn't really strongly perpetuated by them. Whilst I agree he RP perpetuated by top level orgs is almost never of any real expected quality, at times it's been absent entirely, Principally this serves to benefit the RP environment of the server, and, if a top level organisation decides to play on that fact within RP, actually serves as one of the core foundations of lore building.
