Suggestion Title: Medical trained Division
Suggestion Description: After some thinking i thought a nice touch to add to the PLPD would be to add a new branch possibly. The main idea i had would be a branch in the PD that aims in not only preservation of life but aid if needed. I think personally it would be a good idea to add another diverse roll to the PD, this is due to a simple reason. This being that there is only really 4 Main roles in the PD, 3 of these that only realistically effect the way police incidents are handled.
- RTU = Aim and focus of responding to incidents relating to traffic incidents, these being RTC's, Pursuits and maintaining road safety.
- TFU = Aim and focus is to respond to firearm related incidents, Hostage situations and any other major situations that risk the lives of officers or others.
- Patrol = Patrolling the city and responding to any form of illegal incident.
- Dispatch = Provide information to the officers who are patrolling, awaiting callout or handling situations, and informing paramedics and firefighters when they are needed.
But one thing that is only really needed is preserving the life of people, and when paramedics/firefighters are limited there is no other choice but to let other officers, civilians or others with jobs die.
This can include many new things.
- Officers with the rank can perform CPR, weaker than a firefighter but aim at maintaining a pulse till paramedics can arrive, with a very slight chance of revival.
- Reduced gear to even out the field
- Armband/Badge that states they are a medically trained officer.
- Vehicle model that also states the officers position [the trunk can contain a fire extinguisher, Bandages and splints for aiding bleeding players/crippled]
- Diversity and a whole new rank to the PD, making something new for players to aim for.
I think that seeing a new division aimed at aiding people, giving players the opportunity to save lives as an officer and a whole new system would make the PD more fun than just shooting and arresting people, limitations would obviously need to be in place such as limiting the amount that can be on at one time such as the TFU limitation (this could mean only having 2 on duty at once) and i understand the process of all this would take awhile to set up, make a new policy, command team and the in game part of it all, but it would just be nice to finally have an inclusive and new rank to the PD in game.
Why should this be added?:
- it would add a completely new and diverse method at life preservation, it would allow for an extension, more opportunities for officers who might want a change from being a traffic officer or a TFU.
- it can encourage the players who enjoy being a paramedic or firefighter to join the PLPD and include themselves in ways to save lives whether this be arresting them or preserving an unconscious player, giving time for paramedics to arrive and save them.
- Could include new diverse equipment and models, this could be from a car that is designed specifically for these officers, providing a few bandages and splints in the trunk for if it is needed. A vest or an armband that indicated they are a medically trained officer.
- allow a new role to add a little more diversity to the PD, as adding a new gear up option to the armoury that could add the ability for the officers who cant gear up into TFU armour or take on RTC's and lead pursuits as a traffic officer to respond to life alerts and help preserving the life of the unconscious person till paramedics who are busy can respond.
What negatives could this have?:
- Could take quite a long time to set up, code and design all the models and textures needed, new policies and ranking systems as such.
- Raiding players/Players who have committed a crime who have fallen unconscious might not like the Idea that they could be revived (there are ways to resolve this)
(I'm not overly sure on any other impacts it could have but list any that you might feel it would have)
What problem would this suggestion solve?: It would add another rank and playstyle to the PD, make a whole new aim for the officers who already have RTU, TFU to aim for something new and allow officers to go for a new approach other than just "shooting and arresting" while still having that option. it could aim at giving the paramedics more of a chance to respond to situations and revive people/officers who are unconscious while the officer with the rank is performing CPR to maintain the pulse of the person. It would make having another unit for dispatch to assign when paramedics or firefighters are caught up and could make a whole new thing for players to do.
I think that having a new rank to the PD would be a really nice change and could make it fun for players who enjoy PD but want something new, and i think that giving them the option to maintain a pulse but not really revive the player could give more situations for paramedic players to respond too without taking away their job by making it so they cant revive, but maintain a pulse.
this would solve issues like how paramedics would have more people to save, there would be a new aim for PD players and i honestly think it would be pretty cool to see a new unit of officers and add a little differentiation.
