Suggestion Title: Require Secret Service be registered on plpd.online
Suggestion Description: To go on-duty, Secret Service agents must be registered as at least Officer rank on plpd.online, and have at least 2 hours on-duty as an Officer. This fully embraces the accountability changes towards police-registered Secret Service agents.

Why should this be added?:
+ Reduces use of the whitelist for a free gun, to minge, and general tomfoolery which no other job permits (handcuffs, baton, emergency vehicle, etc.)
+ Allows all Secret Service agents to be held accountable on plpd.online.
+ Ensures all Secret Service agents are at least knowledgeable on the use of equipment and the laws, policies, and procedures that they are supposed to be aware of as peace officers.

What negatives could this have?:
- None. If this suggestion is too extreme, I would advise that the whole 'SS has PLPD accountability' idea is dropped entirely to allow for more player freedom in the job.

The fact that they have IA accountability and LEO powers such as exemption from law simultaneously makes this idea all the more viable by miles.

Agreed. We cant sit and put accountability on the SS that are PD but not on non-PD ss. Either everyone is held accountable by IA or not.

Agree with others, since they're held accountable by the PD this makes sense

Considering you get a taser for SS if you're PLPD taser trained, why the hell would anyone deny this? They're basically a sub division of the PLPD at this point. They also can use government radio, can access police doors, police armory, and more.

I definitley agree that there should be some sort of whitelist but in that case just having officer whitelist should not be enough IMHO. Secret service are meant to protect the mayor at all costs and sometimes that means doing things that a normal police officer would never do or get away with. Instead i think there should be requirements so SS agents do not have alot of recent warning and should have a more extensive test to start that focuses more on use of force and violence

Please, can we. Secret Service gives any moron a gun without even having to register on PLPD Online. SS abuse bans are like 10 times as common as PD abuse bans for precisely this reason.

Personally I'd like to see a separate test for Secret Service on PLPD online. (Just a simple multiple choice, same kind of difficulty as the application for Officer, ideally.)

Having SS as a whitelisted division within the PD was considered before, resources were drafted for it, but it was ultimately decided that this was not in the best interest of the game. Secret Service agents responsibilities aren’t really elite or all too specialist, they just drive around the mayor, detain people who are a threat to the mayor, and shoot people who are attacking the mayor. The only consequence to an SS agent failing to do his job is a dead mayor who if they were killed under rule abiding circumstances, might as well be dead for the greater benefit of everyone online. It’s not like TFU where they can blow the wrong door off or blow a door off for the wrong reason and make players lose 70k of drugs and guns, or RTU where you can total a mazda furai by a wrong move during a 110mph pursuit and cost someone 128k.

Having them simply require PLPD.online whitelisting allows them to be held accountable for their actions in an IC setting, Supervisors dealing with SS agents with no PLPD online accounts cannot actually suspend them, only demote them, which allows them to join the job again the moment the 30 minute blacklist expires. People looking to misuse the SS job by breaking police policy, and not rules can get off free with meagre 30 minute blacklists until a staff member is forced to perform mental gymnastics to explain to the recipient of the blacklist why they’ve intervened and blacklisted them from the SS job for a considerable amount of time.

I definitely think something needs to be done to SS and the officer whitelist is not optimal imho but it's better than the current state.

Like being more keep to using violence to disperse people if the mayor is in public since anyone could have a gun in their back pocket ready to shoot.
Yeah, no. Secret Service are glorified bodyguards, they're essentially civilians entrusted with some LEO powers in order to protect the mayor, they're not riot police, and shouldn't be expected to employ violence against people unless absolutely necessary.

PLPD’s whitelist exam to become officer already touches upon use of force, safe driving, and following the law, the only 3 things SS agents could possibly breach.

Maybe allow people to instead or applying for officer on PLPD online anyone can apply for SS. ss can get IA'S but is its own role and has their own policies.

Plpd blacklisted users should still reserve the right to apply for SSA imo. And SSA should be a career anyone cal apply to, like officer.

Blacklists happen for a reason, and having an officer who has dishonourably discharged for something like a weapons violation later cause the same issues as Secret Service without any sort of countermeasure in place doesn't reflect well on PD Command.

Yeah i know, just saying since as much as i want accountability on SSA i dont want a complete PD whitelist on them.

I want Police Officer and SS to be kind of seperated if you get what i mean, but maybe that dosent make sense.

In any sense, whatever way they do it, it would be nice to see a SS application on PLPD.online like the officer one, and having a SS Specialty role kind off.

Can always make being an Officer not a requirement, but you must have a PLPD account. But if you receive disciplinary action, will affect the Police side even if you make an Officer app later.

Potential idea, combine the officer and SS whitelist? That way they learn about being an officer and get SS as well, somewhat makes sense that SS would only recruit trained officers
