Lol but what the UK is doing is next level worse even compared to article 13, i can only assume brexit will only make it worse. The UK is the first country to apply mass censorship in the EU. You're legit gonna have to use a VPN to access any porn on the internet, so enjoy ur brexit

Except when its facesitting or squirting, because that's just outright illegal in the UK. Enjoy that to

We still have one last chance to save your internet.

The articles have to go through the parliaments in each EU country first and while we cannot remove it completely, you can help to stop the Censor machine in your own country.

on https://saveyourinternet.eu/ you can find the politicians from your contry and what their vote is. You need to call, message, tweet, post on, whatever you can do to the people against. They need to be turned around from this censorship machine.

It is against fundamental rights of many countries constitution. The Danish article 77 prohibits any form of Censorship and preventive measures to EVER be used against freedom of expression in form of Drawings, Pictures, Texts, verbal or any other way. It is likely that your country has something alike. Use it to your advantage as much as possible.

This is the last chance before the censorship machine will be put in place. Last chance.

The Opposition of Article 13 has substantially risen, making copyright holders such as music and TV producers disagree with it after the latest drafts were made. Negotiations have been cancelled due to a large number of countries voting against it. This means that there will be no agreement in the near future, more negotiations will be scheduled which works in the favors of the opposition. Julia Reda expresses that the oppositin should keep the pressure on the politicians.

Well you are not out of the EU until 29th of March 2019, so it depends. - And it might take longer due to negotiations between UK and EU.

So it depends, i suppose.
I think it affects the UK since article 13 was accepted before the UK left the EU (May's proposal was rejected just last week or so right?) so in theory ye it should. However, the article should be the least of your concerns with your government falling the way it is.

Ps.: this is just my opinion... I am by no means an expert in politic but instead in :penguin:!

Ehhh i live in norway so luckily i dont need to deal with the brexit thing.

Anything the EU has made a rule/law will be voided i believe unless they make an agreement whereas regulatuons and laws will be kept in place

In other words uk's fucked if they end up with a hard-no-brexit-deal

Today is truly a horrible day.

The European Parliament has decided to Pass the notorious Article 13 despite heavy protests and petitions. Within very long, platforms like Youtube, Facebook, Twitter and so on will have to introduce upload filters that will affect every content creator on youtube and maybe even limit access from European Countries.

genuine non meme question, is this affecting the uk?
This will affect the entire world.

Youtube and other sites will be forced to either make upload filters or limit access from European Countries. They have no choice.
