Thoughts on Perpheads right now

This is the problem with crim right now

Crims will complain that there isn't a bases to raid, but they have 10+ people in their base from 3 different orgs, so of course nobody is going to raid them. When they raid, they're 8 man deep, so naturally lower tier orgs and smaller groups get wiped and end up logging off.

There has been an ongoing pattern with the criminal side. A new org gets created, people join, and they compete with GS9/Monkeys in Paradise for the top spot. They fight for a while, but eventually a large portion of the org either gets banned or quits. Then the remaining members end up joining GS9 or one of the groups closely associated with them.
@Mak And I discussed this and i told him if he wants more competition he shouldn’t have made GS9 homeless shelter for SFG and other new orgs basically right now GS9 bases with almost every top org on the leaderboard even reset wont do much effect on that ! Am gonna be honest for me thats pure cancer to base with 12+. You basically win everything raids, banks etc

If i was you @Fredy i would genuinely put limit on the members or something because you cant tell me 10 actual pvpers against some new org can win ( their chances are lower than minimum )

Hope that helps a bit.
Really underrated thread that covers one of the most integral parts of progressing within the PLPD. Definitely check it out.

I as a Corporal also love giving ORs to those who are eager to improve and take constructive criticism. As @kerzify mentioned in the thread, they are meant for giving feedback and it is through that feedback that the officer improves. It dosen't just have to be about getting a good OR on your record.

I'm just on a constant cycle of playing for like 2-4 weeks, not playing for 3 months and then coming back for another 2-4 weeks. I just like to mess around with my friends and if they're not playing the server isn't that appealing for me.

I don't take a whole lot too seriously since I'll just log off and play something better, but the only thing that really consistently turns me away from the server is how bad the weapons & gun play can be as well as some aspects of PLPD. I main competitive FPS games, I come on the server to enjoy that aspect, so I have no choice but to compare and contrast, especially when things are just very clearly broken and/or potentially neglected. On the cop main side, there are so many things in PLPD that make you not want to play it that it's not even worth going into because it's been repeated 400 million times and nothing ever seems to change. Some of the best changes I've personally seen recently in ages began when Tilin was made a Deputy but it's likely a very long road with many pot holes. I mostly don't like feeling like every second I spend on duty is spent walking on egg shells, but the TFO gear is the sole thing that keeps me returning.

Beyond those two pet peeves, it would be nice if there were more consistent updates that had strong changes, but it's easy to critique when you do not see through a developers eyes, so I don't bother. I have to just trust that they are making the right decisions and understand the dangers of a stagnant server. Lastly, the eternal "RPer" vs "Crim" discourse seems to have permeated virtually everything, from the staff team, to PLPD, to the rules, and to overall server development. There are a lot of retarded people who play and main crim, but the hatred has somehow extrended beyond the individual and on to seemingly anyone who simply enjoys the activity. I rarely RP myself, but champion people who chose to enjoy the server that way. I think without it, the server loses its charm, and it has its rightful place. I play a decent amount of crim, and denounce some of the retards, but champion people who chose to enjoy the server that way. I think without it, many would find other avenues to satisfy that itch, the population would decline, and the server would lose a lot of its vigor. I don't believe it's a healthy mindset for the server to treat either group disproportionately. I think it's better if the developers in tandem with the rules guide, roadblock, and initiate player behavior since they hold the majority of the responsibility in how players approach & interact with the server. I've seen a lot of comments in the past that almost sound vindictive from folks with the most power on the server which is scary. My main hope is that the discourse has not become an infection.

A reset would just change this again for a short while

I tried opening a restaurant at Hungries but either I kept getting raided, beating up by sweaters or the average zerg player who dropped by to complain about the pricing only to leave after having succesfully degraded another individual.

However while my experiment wasn't a total flop as it was recognized in the community spotlight at that point it isn't worth the reward having to wait and stare out into the abyss for hours untill someone decided to accidentally walk past or inside.

So many people are raid focused the word RP is a metaphor in Paralake, while I wouldn't say it's fully dead, it is however an extremely rare occurrence compared to previous perp player generations. :)

Money Pits:
- Dedicate high stakes gambling night once every 2 weeks - odd fella may make loads but majority will keep sinking money
Stagnantion:
- Dedicated leaderboard reset once every 2 weeks ONLY FOR THE PVP ASPECTS - keeps competition fair and there has never been more seperation in orgs than when you are competing with everyone regularly. This will not ruin Bacon or Vault Corp

What are the points of post like this as most people as seen on this thread are just using big words and yapping with no actual expansion on these claims?

Like bazzar isnt even dead you haven't even played V6 you're strictly just waffling especially as other players such as @Bean Can have managed to make just as good shops and compete and so have other smaller bazzar players?

Also there's no genuine example in the majority of complaints of posts like these its just big words people use to seem controversial and smart alongside push down some random narrative its almost like you could say these people are just making stuff up in their heads to complain about for fun.

Also ofc stuff like crim is boring when you're all 20 man deep in some circle jerk with all your friends and people who are im a group of 3 obviously won't raid you? This idea of crim being dead and nothing to raid is (without being rude) just braindead when people are pushing genuine rust zergs ofc there'll be nothing to raid when a quarter if not half of the crim playerbase are all concentrated or related to eachother positively
ngl rare occurrence i actually agree with mj, grand central are actually a decent bunch with good shops, reason why im allied with em lmao

Wow! that was awesome!

My last attempt at genuine roleplay was my idea for bazaar shop ratings. I put genuine effort into fairly rating each shop design/build and gave tips for improving their scores. I even made a dedicated tooter account for it that I was going to buy a check mark for (thankfully I didn't).

Majority of bazaar mains loved it, even had compliments from some staff, unfortunately it only took one person to not like a rating I gave and F6 it for the whole thing to be shut down. Pulled to a sit and told not to place bazaar ratings on peoples shops.

I love perp and I try to create fun, enjoyable RP experiences but It's disheartening when genuine effort to create fun RP for people just gets shut down. It gets to the point where I feel like, what's the point in trying to do RP stuff for the community if it only takes one person who dislikes it to make an F6 and the entire thing gets shut down.

Just my two cents.
