It feels like we haven't gotten an update in a little while which is a good thing. It feels like something big is coming, if we knew this was the case for a second lets imagine it, what update would you guys guess it is?

Didn't we get the performance update, and DDoS prevention updates recently?
Well yeah but I was considering the time between actual in game content updates. That is 26 days between now and the Image Entities.

26 days is nothing in comparison to the 6+ months of no updates we had a few years ago.

devs don't like to announce their updates until they're ready, that way the expectations aren't too high, and they don't feel pressured or stressed and release prematurely.

woah, I wasn't there for that but that would have been weird to go through. I see why the devs don't announce until it's finished that's probably the best way to go about it.

We actually had updates almost every day that we just don't mention since the community made it clear that they do not want us to post update logs that do not contain at least something reasonably big.
These updates range from many bug fixes, continuous performance improvements and additional detections for the anti-cheat.
If you want we can add a commit log to the discord server like several other communities have, then you'd be able to see even the many smaller changes we make.

Of course we are also working on V6 and other big updates, but the certain situation with the high player count/DDoS unfortunately requires a lot of attention that does not immediately result in cool new updates.

No pressure at all. This was more of me venting out how much I am eagerly awaiting for those cool new updates but realistically it will take as much time as it needs to be complete and ready to dish out, which is totally fine. We still appreciate your and your team's efforts big or small. To be honest it wouldn't hurt to implement your idea of having even the smallest updates be noted somewhere just so people can look at it and see how much the server is progressing which would be cool :)
