And austerity has just made it worse. In 9 years of leadership how is the problem continuing to get worse? How can you blame labour for that?

@Fredy They're loosing votes because they've prioritiesed a emphasis on immigrants instead of their core voter base. If you're a labour supporter up north who's struggling for work but seeing migrants get jobs, it's gonna disfranchise you.

As for the media, every country has shit papers and channels etc. I don't read the sun because it's like trying to read 11 year old child's take on the word.

There are editorial and broadcasting guidelines in the UK. Each side always accuses the other of bias. Even those at the BBC admitted that if the left and right were both accusing them of being biased then they're doing their job right.

@Duffy people are not losing jobs to immigrants. I've worked in jobs that import a lot of polish people, purely because they are the ones that can do the dirty shit. You cant say we lost a job to an immigrant when the british people wont learn how to do the same job and employers cant find British people to do

@Inchs I'm saying this is what a traditional labour working class man would be seeing. I know that, but they don't.
Why do you think labours lost their support?

@Duffy Cool story and anecdotes there, I don't see how this is any better than my claim that the media is causing it. (Just for the record again, I don't care about having this argument, because it's not at all related to the original point).

Maybe those people in the north have a structural problem in that region that is causing them (and the region) to be fucked and a migrant getting a job in London really isn't going to affect them that much (and it's certainly not the migrant's fault). The only way these people would get these ideas is through blatant propaganda from people like you and your shit media.

@Fredy Swings and roundabouts. This would be one of the many reasons they'd not want to vote Labour.

From what I've heard during canvassing (in person and on the phone) is a variety of factors, partly immigration but also their stance on Brexit, and perceived acceptance of anti semitism in the party and Corbyns closeness with the IRA to name but a few

@Duffy I don't care what people you talk to have for voting Conservative over Labour. I care about which party is actually better and has the better policies.

@Fredy So what's your view on the Anti semitism in Labour and Corbyns sympathy for the IRA?

Policies mean nothing if the party promising to deliver them have serious issues.

Oh hey I don't care about the Nazi party killing the Jews and such, I'm voting for them because I like their policy on building motorways

@Duffy It's bad optics but I don't actually think he is seriously going to support the IRA. And I certainly don't think he's actually an anti semite. He fucked up though and that's why Corbyn is shit. He is still a lot better than Boris (and his policies are certainly really good on their own).

Now what do you think about Boris lying every time it is convenient and only caring about himself?
