How can we revive?

I miss the admin sits I had before when people were calm and forgiving.
yikes.
sorry but i wish we (community players) could be forgiving and calm before getting a month ban for shooting someone cause they jacked our car. (back then right?)

EDIT:
I like your perspective it's just that it doesnt work out trying to be forgiving eventhough you know your going to get a 2week or 1mo ban for some dumb shit.

I'd love to help out as Staff for perpheads its just that i am not suited for that role anymore (prob never was). Also cba to spend my precious teenage years dealing with children who are hot headed. (maybe later down the road, if im still here...)

I also don't think the owners care too much anymore! We aren't listened too, don't ban me plz

its all talk no action. I see too much discussion and whining on the forums and the staff team or owners barely ever give a good response as to what is going on to improve the server. We just get a random update every 6 months with no communication with the community.

After you've grown drugs on a extremely boring system just to get raped by the players who are more experienced than you, and then what you can lick arse until you have a rank in the plpd? There's nothing to do. Thats the only reason i don't play the server is because there's fucking nothing to do.

Alright, let me explain this from my POV. I know that some might disagree, and some not.

My own opinion is yeah, I think that the staff members should go a little bit "easier" on the rules than we do now. But there is a factor to why we are. Let me explain.

People saying "perp is so toxic" and that everyone is so salty, which is true in some cases. I've noticed that people are reporting eachother for the smallest things. And when you make a report, of course we have to deal with it correctly, wich is to go by the rules.

When I bring people to a roof and explain the situation, they sometimes get suprised because of why I've brought him.

What im trying to say is that there is cycle going around. People reporting eacdhother for the smallest things -> they start to argue and disrespect eachother -> They get mad and makes a report as soon as he can spot the smallest problem.

The reports we get now can look like this, "this idiot cunt retard motherfucker stupid horse shit autistc guy told me to fuck off" and we all see how the OOC chat sometimes get spammed with toxic stuff, and that triggers other people to complain and such.

So I think that people should start to realise that this is a game, you don't have to take it so fkn serious. You died this time in the raid, accept it...

Im not saying that it's okay to break the rules, But if you report someone for the smallest, start calling someone an autistc cunt, that triggers others to do it aswell.

TL;DR - If you want us to be more lenient and let things slide, stop reporting people for stupid shit. "Petty punishments" often come from petty reports.

In order to get refunds you are forced to report players.

> ur making petty reports
> ur doing petty bans

How about we see some leadership with those in power?

I think you're focusing too much on the veterans. Sure, the community will be bigger if you give second chances and go easier on the rules, but there still won't be any continuous growth.

It doesn't matter if peak server population is 40 (with hard rules and no 2nd chances) or 60 (with leniency) if that number increases in an absurdly slow rate.

I don't know about you, but every fucking day I see the same people at bazaar, I very rarely meet a new player and when I do, I know I won't see them ever again the day after.

The server is closed borders. There's no easy-access, easy-to-read, simple, concise, starting guide to the game. Don't give me "look in the forums" shit because most people can't be arsed with that.

If you are new these are more or less your options, consider that a new player would want to have fun ASAP:
- Police, the most fun in-game legal job, but requires a very lengthy and almost annoying process to join.
- Growing drugs, for which you first need to spend your precious 10k on just, spend a lot of time making AND searching for the drug dealer for hours since that information can't be given OOC, reminder that new players don't own a vehicle. All this just to get raided by zergs or get your entire thing deleted by police.

What else can you do? The other most fun option would be playing paramedic, but you can't expect every single new player to like this option and it has limited slots, you can only do so much.

tl;dr: The server has to become more newbie-friendly.

I understand that, but unless you lost something really valuable I don't really see a point in caring about lost item(s).

It’s times where new players do something like mug me for 90k like yesterday in front of an npc then when I tried to force him to drop it he refused under gunpoint then shot me so I lost a gun aswell as 90k and I tried getting it back without having to report it but then I had to get someone to deal with it so I could get it back. This isn’t the only problem but it doesn’t help.

How about we change the marksmanship system to be entirely recoil based and not make it so your gun doesnt actually hit what you're aiming for because I'm sick and tired of lining up a shot on a dippy cunts head for like 5 seconds only for the server to decide I havent spent enough virtual money on ammo to train my virtual aim so I end up losing a decked out military grade rifle to some sweat with an M9 who gets $200 virtual dollars to despawn it?

The only reason marksmanship was introduced was to stop sweaters from being better than the PERP super pro OG's.

As far as I see it, The server caters only for the veterans, and adding a quick and easy way of making money for new players will most likely be hogged by the older players because whats easy for sweaters would be a cakewalk for them.

Lmao clearly they dont give a shit, these threads were made almost a year ago and almost nothing has been done except the mass unban since then.

Players dont respect the staff and rightfully so, because they have their own agenda and dont give a fuck, they just want to reach a certain quota every week. People constantly complained about things yet things that the majority of the players wanted, were never altered.

Anyway they clearly dont care, these threads end up locked after a while and nothing is publicly announced in regard to the decreasing player rate. So fuck it, don't play if they clearly couldn't careless about the playerbase.

Enjoy the summer

imo just:

  • Bring back the old supervisor system, sweatbags whinging about their online police rank they've brownnosed so hard for can do one at this point if they'd rather hold a virtual rank even if it means the server dying

  • Make clearer tutorials about growing drugs

  • Don't remove marksmanship, but maybe make it more accessible by making it out of 20 levels or something instead of 100

  • Make guns cheaper

  • Remove the restrictions on posting illegal stuff on org pages, that made the org section staler than this server is for new players

Also unironically remove the bollards, police chases used to be so much fun when you could drive basically everywhere

So in conclusion:
make the server less sweaty (this isn't clockwork) and make it fun and more light hearted instead

If you want more roleplay you need to lower the number of raids, shootouts etc. If you want more players you want more content. I don't know how you can increase the roleplay and keep the current player base because the majority of it seems to only be here to grow or raid.

Make guns cheaper
Yes change the gun prices back such as the M4 that used to cost 7K and the AK that used to cost around 12K. They were so dirt cheap that nobody cared about losing them.

This discussion is pointless, just cut it and.go grow, since theres nothing else to do

As a "Veteran" player and former administrator I've seen a lot and personally the things that drove me away are as follows:

Community Crying/Revenge ARs - This was a big one that I know drove many people away. The persistent crying and bitching across the community from loads of people when they die, loose items or in general something doesn't go their way and in turn the revenge ARs and determination to find any reason to get someone punished for ANY reason if they've done something that negatively influenced them. Back in the day (Im talking 2014?) if you got raided you would take it on the chin ofc theres the occasional OOC beef or LOOC crying but the majority of people would take it on the chin and get over it most people would just go and raid the people who raided you later or something.

However, now the common trend if you are killed, mugged etc is to instantly make a report regardless of if rules were broken or not. The last warning I got was because of this which pissed me off and puts people off which in turn decreases server popularity. Why are people going to go out, raid, mug or do anything if they're going to have to be in an admin sit every time they pull the trigger?

PLPD / Whitelist - Now don't get me wrong. The PLPD Whitelist was needed and still is needed however being in the PLPD at this point is very literally the same as having an actual job. I feel that people take it wayyy to seriously and forget it's just a game. I agree the structure and idea of the PLPD is good and I myself helped to build the PLPD as former TFU captain, however it got to a point where PMs were being sent out if you hadn't met time requirements and people being forced to come on just to meet these minimum requirements. There's doing something because its fun and enjoyable and then doing something because it's a chore and you have to and I personally feel the PLPD is at a point where it became a chore for most people.

Crafting - The crafting system is good in terms of concept however in terms of applicability, to put it simply it's long. Obviously you shouldn't be able to whip out an AK-47 with one click however people just couldn't be assed to craft because its time consuming especially if you're doing it in bulk (Which most people do). This then causes the market price for guns to increased because of supply and demand which would then cause more people to give up as only wealthy will be able to afford decent guns.
