The most prominent issue in my opinion that I keep seeing pop up is the PD. Even though I’m a Lieutenant (in 5 months btw @Ysauzi @jjjackier) I see massive disagreement with the majority of the decisions made by the people leading the PLPD and this is sometimes the case with the staff team aswell; and I can agree with the majority to some extent. IMO, things are not as fair as they used to be in 2015. The Paralake senate or whatever the fuck it was called was a brilliant idea and I have no clue why it was shut down. Why don’t we, as a community vote to make the changes in the community? That’s what this thread is for after all isnt it?

We should bring back the senate with people who are elected to vote on changes such as laws and even who leads the PLPD. I don’t really care who some people think is most experienced and suited for the position and would honestly rather have it done by a democratic vote in which a majority vote would appoint someone into a chiefs position. I’m not outright saying that the current chiefs are not capable but there is clearly major disagreement and I feel that a democratic vote would solve this problem in the long run.

I too would enjoy being hauled to jail over every minor lawbreak of any law that allows a jail sentence because officers can no longer issue citations.

No, citations are fine. The max is 10k, which you can earn within 15 minutes of a legal job, or from 2 planters of weed. I agree that they're annoying but I've never decided to pack up and quit PERP over a ticket.

Raising the value of drugs when they're already massively and disproportionately profitable over other methods of making money is also not going to fix anything other than making it easier to get rich.

Making meth especially 500 per unit when the average yield is like 25-40 per beaker would make 1 batch 12.5k at least, and that would be FAR Too easy.

Banning people for a long time is something I partially agree on, but some people just might deserve it to be honest.

An actual player owned economy would be nice:

This is what it looks like now:

The money supply is infinite
prices are fixed
Money disappears into thin air

I'd rather have a circular system where

the money supply is finite
Prices are determined by the market
Resources have to be mined by actual real people.
Resources can be used to:
Create weapons
Farmers could create the food, instead of having to go to fredy's to buy it.

Probably going to need the bank to issue the dosh though.
Senate deciding who is head of the Federal Reserve Bank.
Federal Reserve buys bonds issued by the Senate
Senate chooses how much to spend in Subsidies, could also lead to some nutty corruptionRP.
Buying supplies for the PD in the form of guns, etc.
Senate can vote on Laws, for example: legalising Weed.
Would bring back Gang Wars as people would have to compete for raw resources.

A mine could be placed in the forest.
Oil could be found in hicktown
etc.

Doesn't have to be this ambitious but I'm sure even 1/4th of this would bring the server back alive.

Player owned economy is the way to fix it.
Probably will have to hard reset though, but I think most people would prefer this.

Oh also add a softcap to levels instead of a hardcap and make it so levels decrease the time spent while crafting, so people can specialise.
