WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE AN ENFORCER:

So, I want to be an enforcer for quite a few reasons. The first of which is my wanting to help out. There’s often times a notable shortage of staff members around these days, or at the very least a shortage of staff members actively doing reports. This is understandable as staff members play the game too of course, but another person to help out around the place can’t really hurt now can it. There are a lot of situations recently with new players also being around and not quite getting the things you explain to them. It’d be nice to have the innocent sweater who’s running across the intersection for the fifth time in a row after you told him it’s against 3.4 to actually believe you because you’ve got the flashing tag. I’d also like to be able to clarify questions made over F6, as not all of them are made over /help.

I’ve had a pretty good experience lately in the PD as well, and I’ve been trying (Unfortunately without much success) to get myself up to a higher position so I can get my thoughts a bit more heard. I’ve been reaching out to people (especially in regards to dispatch) to try and figure out what can be done to fix the broken division. While this is not something that would be affecting my enforcer application, I think it shows my motivation and ability to try and compromise with people.

A big thing I’d like to do is crack down a bit on the smaller rule breaks. Now I don’t mean go out dishing out bans left and right for running a red light, but people tend to ignore the fact that running the intersection red light is against 3.4 for example. These kinds of rule breaks usually get overlooked, and can cause people who are abiding by the rules to get in trouble with the police, or wreck their car on a jaywalker, or many other things that go on. These people are mostly new players and don’t need to be yelled at or attacked in LOOC, they just need to have a bit of a talking to and have the rules explained to them. There are obvious exceptions to this of course but the expected rule knowledge difference between someone with 3 months playtime versus 3 minutes is quite large.

I’ve been around since 2014, and i’ve mainly waited until now to make my applications. I feel that I’m ready for this as my knowledge of server rules is quite extensive. I haven’t gotten a server warning since August of last year, and I intend to keep it that way. I like to demonstrate that I can follow the rules fully and not cause harm to other players through uses of glitches, exploits, or rule breaking activities.

Usually when I make reports, I don’t want the staff to come in and scold the person. Most of the time, I just want to talk to them myself over voice, in a controlled calm situation where we can discuss what happened. The best way to resolve most problems is to just try and talk out what happened, especially in the case of accidental rule breaks. Being able to do that as an enforcer would be remarkable and would make me pretty happy as I wouldn’t need to wait for another person to get involved.

Another huge reason is I try to be very active in help chat and end up burning a lot of my OOCs trying to respond to people because of the cooldown. I would love to have more help messages so I can respond to some of the issues newer players have, not to mention the questions asked in reports. I think it’d be nice having another person who jumps on those questions to give a nice detailed answer and I do my best to be that person when I can :)

ARE YOU ACTIVE ON THE TEAMSPEAK: Yep

DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING ELSE TO SAY:

To the people who are thinking “This guy would be a terrible enforcer because he’s very excessive with his tickets, and would probably do that for warnings/bans”, I’d like to mention that that is in-character. I give the tickets as the character I’m playing, and not as myself the player. I tend to be much more lenient out of character and I hope that the people who have encountered me there see that too. :p

People also seem to take my police ticketing as a “This guy can’t roleplay” I’ve been roleplaying for a while before I joined PH and haven’t really stopped since. PH is the least serious Rp I’ve been involved in lately and, I decided to settle for a (somewhat excessively) strict traffic cop to rp.

-Support, I just can't see you as an Enforcer due to the fact that you ALWAYS try to get someone into an extensive amount of trouble for the pettiest incidents even if it was an accident, which does not make you an Ideal candidate if we're going by MrLewis' post; and you literally purposely role-play as the "mean" officer who tries to give people 7-8k tickets for reckless driving by always asking Lieutenants to extend the sentence to further than the penal code allows. Because of this I feel that you wouldn't be a good Enforcer as you do not deal with situations with a proper mindset.

While you are allowed to have your opinion of me. I'd appreciate it if you judged me out of character based on my out of character person. In character, I am a different person, and I try to avoid blurring the lines there. When i make reports, I usually try to do the exact opposite of that. I usually just want a staff member to ask why someone did something and if necessary deal with it however they feel appropriate. I do not want to get people warned/banned unless they really deserve it. (ex, repeatedly gunning down cops every time they drive past the PD because "they're wanted") I understand you can't see reports obviously however, and appreciate your feedback regardless.

You're incredibly salty and at least to me you've been very unpleasant to interact with

My point is that if you want people to like you you probably shouldn't be doing stuff like that ICly, because you're obviously going to get judged for it especially when there isn't much of you OOCly.

I've noticed that when you're on duty as a Corporal you act very authoritatively, like whatever you say and whatever you do is the right thing and is always correct, you also act like a supervisor even though you're not. This sometimes leads to a situation where you're in the wrong, and sometimes you will have multiple officers telling you that but you won't take in anything that they are saying to you.
In short, you're pretty arrogant and you're not willing to improve on yourself.
To add to this, lets not forget your last app

This is literally my idea of you as a person, that is exactly what I was about to write but mallard was faster.. I believe you still have a long way before getting enforcer rank..

-Support. Listen lad you are trying wayy too hard to become an enforcer. Reporting every rulebreak you see wont get you enforcer, a PLPD rank wont do it as well. Making so many apps just makes you a tryhard.
GL in the future, but for now nty.

I used to support you but you're not fit for enforcer, you're an aggressive and a very turbulent person in general, you engage in stuff you don't know anything about and voice your opinion regarding it when you should instead just sit and shut up about it, you made a staff complaint on me for arguing on posts about things, instead of coming to me which just shows to me that you're a trigger happy person who just wants to do everything by the book and have no social contact in that manner at all, could've just come to me and taken it with me and I could've explained it first, however you came to me after the staff complaint.

Don't take it as hate, take it as criticism

-Support your way too arrogant as a person and you seem to think you know better than everyone and I don't see you as being the kind of person to become an enforcer right now, maybe my opinion would change if i saw you in a differant way but right now its a no from me.

As much as I like you, I do not believe you're fit for this position.

You have previously pointed out you're mentally not stable, which makes me doubt your abilities as a moderator/staff as it could lead to a bias opinion based on this.

Even though I should not compare IC stuff to who you really are, as an officer you are full of yourself and it sometimes sounds like you think you're above everyone. I could go into full detail, but let's not do that here as @Mallard already pointed out some things of that.

Sorry, but.. face it buddy. Some people (like me and many others) are not fit to moderate a community. Doesn't mean you have to give up, but a massive change in your personallity is needed if you do want this so bad.

Thanks, I'll try to show up more as a non-cop so you all can see how different I am as a person from who I am as a cop. And, depressed does not mean "unstable", and when I am depressed I don't play. I can certainly handle myself though, it's not as if I have antisocial personality disorder here. But anyway, If that's your experience with me, it's most certainly fair enough.

Who are you?

Hi, I'm Duncan. The answer to that question is pretty complicated, but I don't know who you are either. I think most people know who I am now as they've had experience with me being a total dick in traffic stops. I don't know who you are either though to be fair, but I hope to see you around on the server :)

First time I came on in ages I saw you being the biggest cuck in the world, you use people to wipe the shit from your ass by giving them max tickets and stacking and blowing a LT for excessive tickets to give to people committing small time crimes. You honestly don't play the 'supervisor' nor 'mean' character, you play an absolute dickhead. You have literally swooped down to lows and I really don't think you can become an enforcer. Deadass

I don't believe you think you are above everyone, as I am above everyone as the supreme japanese dictator law enforcement.

I am not sure if you see yourself suitable for enforcer, but I believe you should get to know people OOC and post more on the forums to have more chance on this.
Good luck!

It feels like if you get this rank you will act like you are above everyone and be extremely cocky about it, its a bit like that when you go on duty as well so im going to -support this

If you just prove that your not like that you would be a good candidate, i do believe you got what it takes but you need to better your attitude a bit

Good luck!

I'd like to withdraw my application as there have been a number of unexpected factors in my life outside of PERP that have been limiting my activity on the server to the point where I cannot maintain an active presence. I'll also take this time to think through everything I've been told here, and when I am online, I'll try to improve, or in some cases show that I myself am not the same person I role play as.
