TFU AS50'S

feel like these could be solutions:

1. Deployment may only be authorised by SGT+ when the following conditions are met- 2.10 must be observed,

  • A large scale incident where there are multiple shooters over a large area, causing a threat to life to anyone present.
  • A confirmed shooter incident of a similar calibre anti material rifle ( such as another AS or m82) has been confirmed by an officer holding Senior rank or above
  • An attempted breach of the vault of XQ Bank
2. Similar to the Remington shotgun in older training videos, the rifle should be secured inside the Brute or TFU Range rover OR stored in the PD Armory
3. The use of anti material rifles inside buildings is strictly prohibited due to the large threat of endangering life/property
Sounds very good but would also like that it could be authorized by dispatch. And on the situations u should be allowed to use it in hostage situations.

fuck y'all mean? just use as50 back and 1 shot them first??

Technically, yes Dispatch could authorise the use, however Hostage situation I'd argue against due to the civi hostage being at risk.

Is there much difference between the other tfu sniper and the AS50 as that is often used in hostage situations

Much higher calibre of ammo fire compared to the m24, a shot will almost always fatally wound someone straight to death, and destroy fully any car not named the TFO Brute in just a few shots (1 will disable the engine always, plus harm occupants)/ Bullets can easily over penetrate cover and/or people, and can still cause a near fatal hit (example, a regularly armoured police officer can be nearly killed from a wall bang chest shot from the bank walls from one, living on at least red health and NO armour... thanks to legacy for that accidental fact). the rifle is now slower to deploy (being basically a tank in heavy armour)

The higher calibre in a hostage situation in most cases is a very much a no need

not the m24 the AI L115A3

If it is misused when appropriate policies are introduced, then it is very easy for TFU command to strip away a TFU Officer's whitelist. Adding rank requirements such as SSGT+ would not make much sense when every other TFU is entrusted with using all the other guns, including the L115
ig fair, but the whole point is to avoid misuse, and if you compare the other rifles with the AS50, it does an insane amount of damage compared to others, I saw in a thread where @Collier was saying abt how the AL115 sometimes does not fully kill you. but isn’t the point of PD to minimise lethal force? as50s literally one shot you and can even kill peoples inside cars

Ignore this one

the point isn’t to minimise lethal force but use the correct force!

It’s not a good thing a sniper doesn’t kill someone, it’s being used with the purpose to kill

"minimise lethal force" more like neutralise the active threat which the AS50 is perfect for!
